MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE:
Bringing down the mainsail just in time to avoid hitting a freighter docked at Dundalk during a Tuesday night BCYA race when a squall enveloped the race course and we went from 15 to 40 kts in a few minutes. The engine was powerless as long as the mainsail was up…
WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT TEACHING SAILING:
I love infecting my students with the sailing bug – it brings back wonderful memories of the time I got bitten by that bug myself – and there has been no looking back since. My hope is to pass on that life-long love of sailing and feeling of exhilaration to all those I sail with.
