Fun, Easy & Exciting – Start Sailing NOW!

We want to introduce you to the great sport of sailing!  J World Annapolis’ Three-Hour First Sail group sail makes for a fun excursion and easy, affordable way to find out if sailing is for you.

Come for this Three-Hour group sail for a morning or afternoon session and bring your friends, too.  Step aboard one of our J/80’s and begin your sailing adventure on the Chesapeake Bay.  It even makes for a great double date!

Who should take this course?

EVERYONE! Anyone who has ever wondered whether they would like to be a sailor or is interested in seeing Annapolis from the water should join us for this three hour sailing experience.

Pre-requisites?

None – we are ready for the complete novice!

What will I learn?

You will learn how to identify where the wind is coming from, how to trim the sails to the wind and steer the boat through fundamental boat handling maneuvers such as tacking and gybing.  The course is built around safety, fun and learning!

Certification?

The course come with a certificate of completion from J World Annapolis, which also includes a coupon for discounts on a future course!

How will I spend my time?

After a brief introduction and PDF-fitting, you’ll head straight to the boat where your coach will take you on a guided “tour” of the boat, and walk you through some basic steps to leave the slip.  And then, you’re off and sailing!

What should I bring?

Comfortable weather appropriate clothing, athletic shoes, and plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
