Enjoy your boating experience even more!  This 14-hour hands-on, on-the-water course is for anyone who wants to learn how to safely operate a small motorboat and improve their boathandling skills.  No previous experience is required!

This is a US Powerboating certification course that uses a curriculum designed by experts in the marine industry from organizations including US Powerboating, the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). 

This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to safely operate a small powerboat and improve their boathandling skills.  No previous experience is required! Whether you’re learning from the beginning, a long time boater looking for certification, obtaining experience for a job opportunity, or trying to reduce your boat insurance costs, this is the course for you!

This course offers basic knowledge and skills required to become a capable and competent skipper on small powerboats.  You’ll learn starting procedures, docking. leaving & returning to a slip, maneuvering concepts, close-quarters maneuvering, navigating to a destination, safety procedures, fueling and more!  You’ll spend a little time in our outdoor classroom learning some basic maneuvering concepts, navigation and rules of the road, environmental regulations and more.  Then you’ll had out on the water for hands-on learning for the remainder of the day.
