This is an ideal course for anyone who wants to develop a solid foundation in navigation principles. The curriculum for this seminar will cover charts and features, compass errors, plotting, triangulation, dead reckoning, route planning, tides, current vectors, aids to navigation and an introduction to electronic navigation. This course includes US Sailing certification upon passing the written exam.
We will begin class on Friday evening with an introduction from 7-9 pm. Class continues on Saturday and Sunday, both from 9am – 5pm. Coach Mike will teach the course using a online meeting format where he will provide real-time instruction and you may ask questions as he moves through the curriculum.
You will receive a confirmation of your registration request, with an invoice that must be paid prior to the start of the course.
Once registered and tuition has been paid, you will receive an access code for joining the online event.

Reminder!! The Coastal Navigation textbook and Chart 1210Tr are included in the cost of the seminar, however the tools required to participate in the seminar are your responsibility to purchase.
