ARC Bahama Presented by WCC

June 30, 2016

Did you know that J World Annapolis is now the official training partner of the World Cruising Club (WCC)?  Did you know we are planning special training sessions for ARC Caribbean 1500 and ARC Bahamas participants?  Did you know J World Annapolis is planning to sail the ARC Bahamas this fall and you are invited to join us?  Well it’s true!  Four berths remain for this “bucket list” offshore passage.

Sailing with J World Annapolis and the ARC Bahamas is best way to get to the Bahamas this winter!

Cruise with friends and experience true offshore sailing to the Bahamas. The ARC Bahamas fleet sails from Portsmouth, VA at the mouth the Chesapeake Bay to Bluff House Marina, on Green Turtle Cay in the Abacos. The start port and dates make the most of the available weather to maximize your Bahamian cruising, and our pre-departure training program will get you relaxed and ready for offshore sailing and Bahamas cruising.

The low-lying and reef strewn Bahama Islands offer a remarkably beautiful cruising ground, but the islands also offer arguably more challenging sailing than the high and steep Eastern Caribbean. So, are you ready for the challenge?

Every fall, as the polar vortex descends on North America, cruising sailors prepare for a pilgrimage to southern climes, warmer breezes and clear blue waters.

As part of the the longest-running ocean crossing rally in North America, the Caribbean 1500, J World Annapolis will be sailing our J/120 from Annapolis to the Bahamas this October.  The ‘1500’ is a must-do for many cruisers.

During the dog days of summer it may seem like a while away, but berths for this bucket list adventure are filling fast.

Our ARC Bahamas Rally program is more than simply a cruising sailing course; it is a full offshore training experience. With over 700 miles of offshore sailing, four pre-departure training weekends, safety and seamanship training, navigation training and more – this is a great opportunity to learn new skills and accomplish personal goals while challenging yourself to your very limits.

So, are you ready to sail offshore with us?
