Performance Sailing 2-Day
The Intermediate Sailing 2-Day course is designed as a stepping stone to great sailing adventures! This class will concentrate on boat handling under sail. We will work on refining sail trim, tacking, gybing and maneuvering in close quarters. In addition, a significant portion of the class will be dedicated to secondary sail controls and “tuning” the sails for maximum efficiency. This course will also include an introduction to spinnaker handling and trim.
This course is appropriate for any graduate of a basic sailing course, or for a sailor who has had no formal eduction but a fair amount of real world experience. Use this course as a spring tune-up, a refresher, or to get started learning the finer points of sail trim.
This course is identical to the first weekend of the Intermediate Sailing 2-Weekend Course. Students can extend into that course if they find they are interested in seamanship and navigation skills or if they are interested in obtaining US Sailing Basic Keelboat Certification.
